Well I carn't believe that the time has come to make my son a card for his 21st birthday, where do the years go. He loves anime and one of his favourites is Dragon Ball z so here is what I made.
For my base I have used a 8"x 8" prescored card and covered it with a yellow paper.
Then I found the image on google images and loaded it into my craft studio, I then copied and pasted the image several times and cropped the areas I wanted to decoupage down to size. I did manage to get all the bits I required on to one sheet of A4. I printed the sheet on textured gloss photo paper, I matted the main image on to holographic mirri card and punched the edges. Then I cut out all the bits for the decoupage and layered then using silican glue.
For the twenty one, I googled dragon ball z font and found one free to download. The font was standard black so I loaded my silhouette software and installed the font and gave it the black shadow and colour the font needed to match the dragon ball z style, this took some time as I had to do each letter one by one. I then used the print and cut feature on the silhouette. I glued the letters straight to the mirri card.
Well I am forty three and have been married to Paul for 23 years we have one son Dale aged 23. I have a gorgeous Yorkshire terrier called Sammy and a adorable shih tzu called Poppy. I have only been crafting for a couple of years after discovering lots of crafting goodies at my local garden centre. I love card making the most and have really taken to stamping. I have recently setup a sewing machine and hope to blog about that too.
